The 8TT–2 8 track cartridge reproduce test tape is an original master recording that uses a custom designed transport that accuately records tracks adhering to the 8 track standard allowing for additional adjustments not possible with previous tapes with unique test signals that minimize the need of expensive test equipment allowing for checks and adjustments to be made with nothing more that your ears and a stopwatch. The 8TT-2 has the same signals as our 8TT-1 with the addition of:

• 125Hz signal for head height and crosstalk adjustments 
• A special composite 60hz/1khz signal for tape speed verification using a frequency counter or just a smart phone stopwatch.
• 400Hz Dolby tone recorded Dolby level for recorders with built-in Dolby noise reduction as well as with external Dolby noise reduction units made by Teac , Sony, Panasonic, Advent, and many others.
• 8Khz tone for easier azimuth adjustments.

This cartridge will allow for the complete adjustment of azimuth, reproduce level and high frequency equalization as well as verifying frequency response characteristics.

The tape includes our exclusive Toggle Tone test signal for easy high frequency adjustment. Our high accuracy process insures consistency and conformity to NAB standards. A convenient usage tally is provided to track play back passes. Each tape is serial numbered and has an associated QC report. This QC report is not simply a frequency chart, but contains actual measurements from the tape ensuring adherence to the NAB standard. Specially prepared back lubricated tape loaded into reconditioned new cartridges with new pressure pads. Printed instructions are included.
